Beautycounter Charcoal Bar Cleanser Review
The Beautycounter Charcoal Cleansing Bar cleanser has become a staple in my shower. Long hair has seemed to leave me prone to bacne, and this stuff has helped so much! I also use it on my face a few times a week to deep cleanse. I've cut off slices to give to my friends to try, too! Read on for the detailed product review.

Let's Talk Details
THE SCENT There's no fragrance added, so the scent that arises from the ingredients is super subtle, natural and barely noticeable. The product is not suitable for the eyes.
THE TEXTURE The activated charcoal comes from the Japanese Ubami oak. I was pleasantly surprised by the luxurious foam this bar creates with a little water. The lather glides nicely over skin and rinses off quickly and squeaky clean. Note: the soap won't last long if it sits in a puddle of water in your shower; the bar needs to be able to drain and dry after each use, or it will fall apart.
THE RESULTS As I get further into my thirties, breakouts on my face are becoming very few and far between. However, hormonal breakouts on my neck and jaw have started up, and having long hair seems to be contributing to back and shoulder pimples, too. Yay for getting older! This charcoal bar has helped clear up these problem areas significantly in the past three weeks of use.
Initially, you are supposed to only use the bar every few days, as it can cause an initial breakout as your skin gives up impurities. I didn't notice any such breakouts and usually use the bar every other day or whenever my face feels super gunked up by makeup, pollutants and sweat.
THE PRICE $24. No, it's not the cheapest hunk of soap out there. But this is a great, clean product with a short, safe, organic ingredient list. I've definitely noticed a difference in my skin. Plus, it lasts a long time, if it doesn't get water-logged.
I'm really liking this soap. Even my boyfriend gets drawn to it in the shower. I can see it helping some of my existing skin problems heal and fade away. It's supposed to be great for excema, teen and adult acne, psoriasis, and more. It's also just a great cleansing bar for all ages and genders!
