100% Pure Blood Orange Cleansing Balm

THE APPLICATION This is a solid balm that melts on contact, like coconut oil. All the extra moisturizing avocado and olive oils make this stuff super emollient, so it's thicker than your average plain coconut oil. Since it's so heavy, a little bit goes a long way. As you massage the balm into your skin, it melts like butter and feels about as greasy. I like to massage a fingertip's worth all over my face for a minute or two, dissolving makeup and grime and giving myself a face massage and a little aromatherapy treat.

THE FEEL After wiping away with a cloth, this cleansing balm leaves plenty of hydration behind. Thanks to the beeswax and emollient oil blend, a protective barrier is left behind, which can hold moisture in and protect skin. This moisturizing layer works best at night for oily or combination skin, as it's a bit too oily to wear under makeup. Double cleansing with a foaming wash removes this layer and leaves the skin totally cleansed and refreshed.

THE SCENT Free from any synthetic perfume, this product is scented by blood orange essential oil. Citrus oils are great purifiers for the skin, plus they're mood lifters and energizers.

Final Thoughts

I like this balm very much. I highly recommend it for anyone with dry skin, whether seasonally for year round. It smells fresh and clean thanks to essential oils, and has a wonderfully short and clean ingredient list. I would rate this product very safe using the EWG scale. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a very emollient cleansing balm with a noticeable citrus scent. I would recommend spot testing this product if you have sensitive skin, as it does leave a residue behind and contains blood orange essential oil.
